Seven Elements of Culture Animoto

This is my Animoto on the Seven Elements of Culture. I plan to use the Animoto with the sixth grade students I work with as an introduction to the new unit in Social Studies. Knowledge of the Seven Elements of Culture is important for their understanding of other countries culture, to conduct research on other countries, and to compare other countries culture to their own culture.

  1. LOVE IT!!!!!! So planning on showing it to my class tomorrow as we start our exploration of Korea through the seven elements of culture. I will let you know their reaction. I think the visuals will help with their initial understanding. After showing it we will read more about each of the elements and find examples in the historical fiction novels we read.

  2. What a great introductory presentation. Even though your audience is 5th-6th graders, I could have my teachers who instruct grade 9 World History use this an an icebreaker. It goes to show that may of these tools cut across grades and student ages.
