I am reading a book for my grad class by Will Richardson titled Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts. I find this information so interesting. When I was in school computers and technology was not something that was part of any lesson taught by my teachers. Now, with the progression of the web, search engines,social media, etc students have extensive knowledge of technology, because it has always been a part of their world.
It is crazy to think that the students we teach have never known a world without such widespread use of the internet, especially for research. I can remember using the old school card catalog at the library. (Not to date myself or anything)
ReplyDeleteWill Richardson's book is easy to understand. It does present all the varying successes and challenges being faced by students and educators as the emergence of technology revolutionze learning.
